Can you really rent a boat without a licence?

Yes! In Greece, boats with engines up to 30hp can be driven without a boat licence — no certificate and no prior experience required. Our Poseidon Blue Water 170 boats are built around this rule: a beginner-friendly 30hp engine, but one of the roomier, more comfortable boats in the licence-free class. If you want more power, we also offer skippered charters with a local captain.

How much does it cost?

Our licence-free boats start from €160 per day, depending on the season and how long you rent for. Here are a few things to know about pricing:

  • Fuel is charged separately from the rental — how much you use depends on how far you cruise.

  • A refundable security deposit of €300 is held during the rental and returned once the boat is checked back in safely.

  • Shorter and longer rental options are available — just ask!

What's included on board?

Our boats are fully equipped so you can focus on enjoying the day. Each one comes with:

  • A new 30hp engine (licence-free) and GPS chart plotter

  • Bimini sunshade / sunroof for shade

  • Bluetooth sound system

  • Freshwater shower and a large ice box / cooler

  • Snorkelling gear and an easy-access swim platform

  • Full safety equipment — life vests, first-aid kit, and more

The boats seat up to six people, making them ideal for families and small groups.

Do you need experience? What about the driver?

No experience needed! Before you set off, you'll get a full handling and safety briefing. This way, you know exactly how to drive, anchor, and stay safe. The only firm requirement is that the driver is at least 18 years old and signs the rental agreement. Passengers can be any age.

Where do you launch from?

We launch from Anavyssos, on the southern Athens Riviera — an easy drive south of the city. One of the best parts for first-timers: you can park right at the launch point, so there's no marina maze to navigate. You're on a beautiful, swimmable coastline within minutes, with the route toward the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion opening up to the south.

How does booking work?

It's simple:

  1. Send us your preferred date through the contact form.

  2. We check availability and confirm your request, usually within one working day.

  3. You arrive, park, get your briefing, and head out.

And if the weather isn't safe on your chosen day, you won't be charged — we'll reschedule for free, subject to availability.

First-timer tips for a perfect day

  • Book a calm-weather day if you can, especially for your first time.

  • Arrive a little early so you're not rushing the briefing.

  • Bring sunscreen, hats, water, snacks, and a towel. Sun protection on the water is no joke.

  • Plan a relaxed route — pick a couple of swim stops rather than trying to see everything.

  • Pack a cooler of drinks and food; there's an ice box on board.

Exploring the Athens Riviera

The Athens Riviera is a stunning stretch of coastline. It offers beautiful beaches, charming villages, and breathtaking views. As you cruise along, you'll find plenty of spots to anchor and enjoy the crystal-clear waters. Don't forget to take your time and soak in the scenery.
